Matt has been a lawyer for 8 years, first in New Zealand and then in Langley, as a member of the family firm. In his practice, he blends a progressive outlook with a practical approach.
Matt is an avid outdoorsman, passionate about all things fishing. He is also a keen ice hockey player and surfer. Matt lives in Fort Langley with his wife Sophie, their three children, and their black Lab Axel.

Matt grew up in White Rock, BC and has spent most of his life in the Fraser Valley. After graduating from Bishop’s University, in Quebec, he worked in marketing and sales in the transportation industry for a number of years. In 2006, he moved to New Zealand to obtain his law degree from Victoria University of Wellington. He was called to the New Zealand bar in 2011 and worked as a solicitor with a large commercial firm in the central north island, where his practice focused on all aspects of commercial and corporate law, with particular emphasis on commercial real estate, infrastructure, energy, and dairy sectors. Matt joined MacCallum Law Group LLP in 2013 and was called to the BC bar in 2014.
